What the brand wanted to know
Xiaomi is the world's fourth-largest smartphone manufacturer, leading in both the largest market, China, and the second-largest market, India. The objective of this activity was to check the inventory present in the warehouse of 2 cities Bangalore and Mumbai. The warehouse was being audited on the lines of the stock present there. The motive was to understand whether the inventory present in the warehouse was as per the prescribed quantity.

How FloorWalk ran the audits
Inventory counted
The approach adopted to successfully deliver the scope of work was as under: Quantity analysis of the inventory present such as smart phones, TV’s, Back packs, mobile accessories. Both defective and non defective items were checked and counted.
The challenges we faced were: The addresses of warehouse were not accessible physically as well as on google maps, so it was difficult for auditor to get there.

What changed on the ground
In the first month: Stock at the warehouse was not as per prescribed quantity. Many deviations were found in the physical stock present as compared to the data provided to auditor. The scores increased next month on the same parameters.
In the second month: Less integrity issues were observed as compared to the last month. All the audits were revealed audits. The warehouse were audited on the last day of every month to check the inventory present after all the monthly transactions.
What the Xiaomi team could do with FloorWalk's platform and reports.
Through FloorWalk’s platform, the client could effectively track which showrooms have not followed process compliances, the showrooms that had integrity issues and the showrooms which had customer service issues.
Reports are segregated according to the cities, states & regions. They can further be drilled down to area wise reporting to reward area / city managers. The reports were also used to decide incentives for further members of the hierarchy.
All the reports are attached with audio proofs to further present a concrete plan on the compliance checks. These proofs were further used to incentivise / let off staff and management.
Mystery shopping being a continuous activity for any brand, the clients are given a chance to track audits real time and see which stores are auditing at what time & dates to further keep an eye on the store.
